Free yourself

Today I’m going with the theme of Independence. Do you need to free yourself of thoughts, beliefs, a situation, or relationship that are trapping you or holding you back from achieving your full potential?

I’m going to contradict myself a bit, so bear with me. Our ability to move forward in life often hinges on our environment. Our belief system is a reflection of our life’s experiences and the people closest to us.

It is important that we own our beliefs. It is easy to place blame on our situation or an outside influence. The bottom line is that we all have the freedom to choose and at any time we can choose something new or different.

Is there something that you can choose to free yourself from today? Countless men and women have sacrificed so much for our freedom. It’s up to us to honor their sacrifices and accomplish our full potential and become the best version of ourselves.

“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.” ~Dwight D. Eisenhower

Wellness is about the mind, body, and heart. By taking care of one you take care of all three. At any moment you have the power to change your situation or your beliefs improving the wellness of your mind and/or heart.

Today I encourage you to take care of your heart.

What do you want to work on today? What do you want to free yourself from? A belief, situation, or relationship?

“Freedom is the oxygen of the soul.” ~Moshe Dayan

You are capable of greatness and you are deserving of your dreams and aspirations. In honor of Independence Day free yourself of a belief or situation that no longer serves you. Claim your independence and power to choose.

Stay safe and enjoy your independence. Kathi

Excellent thoughts, and ironically, very similar to posts I’ve recently made on my Facebook page and on my blog! In fact, I am in the process of reviving a series of posts I did between the end of 2012 into January 2013, on the topic of facing fears and moving forward. Interesting timing to be doing that and now reading your blog! 😉 I believe all things happen for a reason!

I agree, there are no accidents. I just took a peak at your blog. I will be back for more. You an I were definitely on the same wavelength on July 4th. My prayers are with you today as you celebrate the memory of parents. Kathi
