Today I have a simple tip for you to implement. One of the first questions each of my Personal Trainers asked me when I started working with them (yes at different times) was… “are you taking a daily multivitamin”? I was. Are you?
Today’s Tip… Take a daily multivitamin…
The human body requires vitamins and minerals daily to keep you alive, healthy and functioning at your best.
Even if you are a healthy eater, getting the daily recommendation of fruits, veggies, grains, proteins, fats, etc., it is challenging to get all of the necessary vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. Hence a daily multivitamin.
It’s like a nutritional backup plan or insurance completing your diet with the necessary nutrients for health and wellness.
Here’s a few benefits of taking a daily vitamin:
- lowers risk of disease
- folic acid (typically found in a multivitamin) is believed to lower the risk of heart disease, colon cancer, and breast cancer
- vitamin D from a multivitamin is believed to lower the risk of colon and possibly other cancers, as well as some chronic diseases
- supports healthy weight loss since when dieting you are at a calorie deficit and therefore a nutrient deficit
- gives you a sense of wellbeing and more energy
There is no quick fix to wellness. It’s about an overall healthy lifestyle. A daily multivitamin is another piece of the wellness puzzle. It’s up to you to put the puzzle together. Each recommendation I make provides you with information to make a choice.
Our bodies are complex and require daily care. A multivitamin helps to ensure you are getting the necessary vitamins and nutrients to improve your overall wellness, health, and sense of wellbeing.
It’s a simple step. I take a multivitamin with each meal. You may prefer a one a day option. Make a choice that fits best into your schedule and lifestyle.
See you back here tomorrow. Later… Kathi
